Eight neurosurgeons and neurologists, along with a neurocritical care specialist from North Shore-LIJ’s Cushing Neuroscience Institute (CNI), have been named to the Best Doctors in America® List for 2013. In addition, the CNI faculty were included in the excerpted Best Doctors list published in the May issue of Long Island Pulse Magazine

Only five percent of doctors in the United States earn this well-regarded honor to be listed on the Best Doctors in America® List, which is decided by impartial peer review polling over 45,000 physicians across the country. Doctors in over 40 specialties and 400 subspecialties of medicine appear on this year’s list.  Doctors cannot pay to be included in the Best Doctors database nor are they paid to provide their input.  In bringing together the best medical minds in the world, Best Doctors, Inc., works with expert physicians from its database to help its 30 million members worldwide get the right diagnosis and treatment.
