North Shore-LIJ’s Cushing Neuroscience Institute has received the Web Marketing Association’s 2012 WebAward for outstanding achievement in web development in the category of “Non-Profit Standard of Excellence.”
The Web Marketing Association’s annual WebAward Competition has been setting the standard of excellence for website development. Independent expert judges from around the world review sites in 96 industries. In this year’s competition, more than 2,000 entries from 42 countries were reviewed. Entries were judged on design, copy writing, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation and use of technology.
“We are delighted to receive this prestigious recognition from the Web Marketing Association,” says Raj K. Narayan, MD, chair of neurosurgery at North Shore University Hospital and Long Island Jewish Medical Center, and director of the Cushing Neuroscience Institute (CNI), which launched its microsite (neurocni.com) in the fall of 2011.
"We wanted to develop a comprehensive, interactive and patient-friendly website that showcased the breadth of services CNI offers, featuring our expert physicians and state-of-the-art technology. Users have access to all the information they need to easily find the right service, physician and location. We will continue to update our website with fresh content and active links, and hope that the website continues to serve as a valuable tool for consumers.”
